If you have time to give, we'd love to have you join us for our weekly distributions! We assure you will have an uplifting experience with an amazing group.

New volunteers are always welcome... Many hands make light work, and we have so many ways you can assist! No need to sign up in advance, and you don't have to bring anything except your wonderful smile.

Volunteers gather at Christ Church Troy United Methodist (aka Red Door Church) located at 35 State Street in Troy, NY each Thursday at 4:30 pm to begin setting up our distribution site.

Sidewalk Warriors Troy welcomes individuals and groups eager to share their talents with our community. Whether you're part of a youth group, a craft guild, a musician, or simply a hobbyist, there are plenty of opportunities to contribute.

Recent contributions include homemade, recycled t-shirt bags from a local 4-H youth club, delightful face painting services, and generous donations of hand-knit and crocheted items.

Have an office that would like to become involved for one night?

Reach out and we would love to have your team join our team! Groups of 5 or more volunteers should pre-register here.

Have a local business and want to be a regular supporter?

Your site may be able to collect needed items on a more regular basis or on an as-needed basis for one of our special distributions. Please contact us.

Have an organization that is looking for special volunteer projects?

Give us a call! We have many ways you could offer assistance. It can be a one time event, or repeat each week.

Drop Off Procedures

When dropping off hot or cold trays of food: please deliver hot trays 4:30 - 5:00pm and park in front of the church on State Street. We will have volunteers nearby to assist with unloading.

When dropping off pantry items to fill our tables: please deliver pantry items 4:30 - 5:45pm and park on the side of the church on 5th Avenue heading south. This is a one way street, therefore use caution... you will need to drive to Sixth Avenue, onto Broadway, turn left onto 5th.

You will see us on the corner of 5th Ave. and State St. on the corner on the right side just past the parking garage. Please pull up and park to unload. We will have some runners to help!

Thank you for your cooperation and support in ensuring a seamless drop-off process.
