Volunteers are at the heart of every distribution. From setting up tables and sorting donations to serving food, greeting friends, and helping with cleanup, every role matters. No experience is required, just a willing heart and a desire to serve with kindness and respect.

What to Expect

Volunteering with Sidewalk Warriors Troy is hands-on, meaningful, and community-centered. You may be moving items, standing for part of the evening, helping friends find what they need, or simply offering a kind smile. Our team will guide you when you arrive.

Volunteer Details

Distribution Day: Thursday

Setup Time: 3:30 PM

Distribution Begins: 6:00 PM

Location: Christ Church Troy United Methodist, the "red door" church located at 35 State Street, Troy, NY.

Shifts: Volunteer opportunities are organized into two shifts, with different tasks assigned to each shift. After you sign up, our team will follow up with your shift time and details.

Please Note: Our Thursday distribution takes place outdoors. We encourage volunteers to dress appropriately for the weather and bring water or anything they may need to stay hydrated and comfortable throughout their shift.
